Guardians Of The Galaxy: 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Probably Missed
13. Slither Creatures
In 2006, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn wrote and directed the cult comedy horror movie "Slither". The movie saw a meteorite which housed malevolent, sentient extraterrestrial parasites crashing into the town of Wheelsy, South Carolina and, subsequently, all hell breaking loose as the parasites - which were actually slug-like creatures - infected the human population and turned them in to mind-controlled puppets under the control of the first victim, who had become a giant tentacled monster. In a weird franchise crossover, one of these slug-like parasites can actually be seen amongst the vast array of exhibits in the Collector's intergalactic museum, during the scenes on Knowhere, in a glass display case, emphasising the creative fun that James Gunn likes to have with his movies.
