It still feels like a long wait until the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel hits cinemas, but it's all starting to feel a little more real, as production has now wrapped, and we're into the (long) home straight).

That inevitably means we're into the marketing period, with trailers incoming (maybe even with Doctor Strange?), official publicity shots and a bit more meat for the rumour mill to get their teeth into. To celebrate the change in status, the team have been sharing some teases, and Chris Pratt is the latest to show off his final scene, revealing a first look at Star-Lord's new updated costume:

So the look is basically the same as in the first movie: we have the immediately iconic red leather jacket (the short version) but the collar has changed and it now has a double breasted-front and it looks like the detailing has changed quite a bit. He's also swapped his single shoulder storage bag for a heavy duty looking chest armour piece to go with his helmet - a deviation from his traditional comics-based design.

Does that suggest he's expecting more open warfare?

Pratt also showed off an unmasked shot with his stunt double Tony McFarr, who really needs to match his hair to Pratt's better...

James Gunn also shared his wrap video for Chris Pratt on Facebook - who called the movie "the greatest spectacle movie of all time"...

The video also confirms that the film wrapped under budget and ahead of time (by a day), which is ridiculously impressive for a 90 day shoot with a major budget. And more excitingly, that Gunn will be bringing the film to Comic Con to show fans in residence something special (and the Internet a matter of days after when some pirate shares grainy phone footage of it...)

Meanwhile, Gunn also assured fans that the film's toy line will represent the major female characters just as much as the male ones (putting aside older concerns from Age Of Ultron about how Black Widow was portrayed)...

What do you think of the costume upgrade? Share your reactions below in the comments thread.
