10. The Movie Won't Actually Start Shooting Until February 2016
Most folk probably assumed - on account of its success as the highest-grossing superhero movie of 2014 and the relentless nature of the MCU's production slate in general - that Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 was already shooting somewhere in the world right now. That the cast were all on a set somewhere, rehearsing fight scenes and spinning one-liners. Nope: the sequel to James Gunn's brilliant space-based blockbuster is still in the pre-production phase - and it won't actually start shooting until February next year. You know, in time for its release in... 2017! Right now, Gunn has reportedly moved a crew to Atlanta, Georgia (where most of the film will be shot) in order to oversee the building of sets and production designs and such. But there are still four months to go 'til filming, people!
