6. Obviously, The Easter Egg Count Is High

Given that James Gunn claims there's still one major Easter Egg from the first film waiting to be revealed, it should come as no surprise that he's taken the opportunity of a sequel to cram even more references from the comics (and no doubt elsewhere) in.

We already know about some of them - like the repurposed Mattel Electronic Football game used as a scanner by Peter Quill in the trailer - and it seems likely we'll all spend a lot of time finding the rest of them.

But then maybe there are too many? Jeff Sneider seems to suggest that James Gunn's fascination with comic book lore is too much and too distracting from story...
