Guardians Of The Galaxy 3: 10 Things We Want To See
What's next for Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot, Rocket, Drax and Mantis?
The promise of a new Guardians of the Galaxy movie is something that fans have been waiting a long time for, and now that it's happening, it's easy to get excited.
There was a time when the future of this ragtag group of universe saving heroes was as up in the air as the Milano itself, as Disney wanted to steer clear of James Gunn and the cast weren't keen to work without the writer/director. However, now that plans are fully in motion, it's time to start thinking about what we want to see in the Guardians Vol. 3.
The previous movies have been fun and bombastic affairs, so this next instalment has to match that. Luckily, the hypothetical addition of Thor to the roster looks set to spice the Guardians up a little and could make for an incredibly exciting time.
This wish list will contain the points that fans are hoping Disney will elaborate on, some additions that have already been teased, and speculative concepts that would feel right at home with the Guardians.
Of course, there's no guarantee that any of these points will come to life, but there's no doubt that fans would welcome them with open arms if they did.
10. More Howard The Duck
Howard the Duck is one of the most absurd and goofy characters in Marvel canon, which is why we desperately want to see more of him. The irreverent world of Guardians is exactly the right place for Howard, and he's been a hilarious Easter egg for fans in the first two flicks - and Endgame - but it's time to give him something more significant.
The character is already in an excellent position to expand, as even those unfamiliar with the comic-book character can enjoy the novelty of a talking space duck. Plus, the pitch-perfect casting of Seth Green gives him a cynical yet boyish charm that will make him hilarious no matter what.
There's no need to make him a major character or even give him an important place in the narrative, but the movies have been setting him up well and it's time to finally pay the joke off by giving Howard some substantial dialogue.
Fans aren't asking for him to join the Guardians or anything; they simply want to see this duck spread his wings and fly - metaphorically speaking.
