Guardians Of The Galaxy Film: 4 Exciting New Developments

1. The Nova Corps

the guardians of the galaxy After rumors surfaced that Lee Pace might be affiliated with the Nova Corps instead of being a villain, Glenn Close has now been rumored to be the leader of Marvel's intergalactic space patrol. At this point, there seems to be a very strong chance that the Nova Corps will play a significant role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Why else would Marvel bother with casting someone like Glenn Close as the organization's leader? The presence of the Nova Corps is a great, new reason to be excited about GOTG, but it is an even greater reason to be excited about the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase Two and beyond. If GOTG is as successful as Marvel hopes it can be and audiences take a liking to the Nova Corps, the Marvel Cinematic Universe could have its own cosmic subsection in Phase Three. Getting general audience buy-in on cosmic heroes would allow Marvel to succeed where its counterpart, Warner Bros./DC Entertainment, failed with Green Lantern. All of this could lead to the Nova Corps taking the lead in its own franchise while continuing to interact with Guardians. Cosmic success would also help other properties like The Inhumans get off the ground. Guardians of the Galaxy may stumble and show us the limits of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or it may prove that there are none. Why else are you excited about Guardians of the Galaxy?
