1. It Will Be Set After Avengers: Endgame

In the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War - in which nearly the entire Guardians team was turned to dust - there was some question as to the timeline placement of Guardians 3. Since only Rocket was left alive, will the movie be set before Infinity War, when the entire group was intact?

The answer to that question is a simple no. Guardians 3 will be set after the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, which will presumably restore the original Guardians team to full health.

Gunn confirmed the movie's chronology in that aforementioned Facebook Live Chat, where he stated that the film will "take place after the next two Avengers movies", meaning Infinity War and Endgame. Last summer, he reiterated this information in a brief Twitter post.

So now, only one question remains: how will the team make it back from the dead? Endgame contains the answer, and excitingly, we only have a few weeks left to find out.
