Harry Potter: 10 Most Evil Gryffindors Of All Time

5. Nearly Headless Nick

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, or Nearly Headless Nick as he is more popularly known, was the resident ghost of Gryffindor tower. He was born into a noble family and was knighted by King Henry. His demise, a brutal one, came when he accidentally turned an influential noblewoman’s teeth into a tusk.

Of course, poor old Nick was only trying to help her by giving her crooked dentals a makeover. The backfire would cost him his life as he was soon executed for the offense. And it’s the circumstances surrounding the execution that exposes Nick’s own flaws.

It was a horribly botched beheading, requiring many hacks of the axe to finally kill the man. But because of his prior record as a troublemaker during his younger days, there was next to no public sympathy. You would have to imagine they must have been some pretty serious offenses for the people to turn a blind eye to such unimaginable suffering.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
