3. Not Casting Timothy Olyphant
This one may seem unfair since Paul Walker is already cast, but I know I am not the only one sick and tired of reboots and re-castings. Hitman was only six years ago! And I also know that I am not the only one that thought Olyphant did a surprisingly good job in the lead role. What this mainly has to do with is continuity. Studios seem to be running out of (or ignoring) original ways to continue franchises. It is possible to take a franchise and send it in a new direction (i.e. Prometheus) without just scrapping the original film (or films) and just starting over. It can be a headache for viewers. Studios should start owning up to their material and not casting aside past films to start anew. Not only will it be a headache accepting a new actor in this role, but Olyphant did a stellar job with it and seemed to be ready and willing to take the franchise to new heights in 2007. What I'm really trying to say is that a Hitman reboot is a waste of time. Just make Hitman 2 and make it good.
