4. Black Widow

We know not yet when Natasha Romanoff's solo feature will be set, but with the character set to enjoy a renewed profile, it makes plenty of sense for her to continue being an Avenger.

Along with Tony and Steve, Nat is the senior ranking Avenger, and the one with the most amount of experience on the job. That makes her a shoe-in for the leader position should Steve depart, and while it's also true that Nat has a target on her back - as do pretty much all the team - it's hard to envision her leaving the franchise at this stage.

There's also the fact that Black Widow is one of the most popular characters in the MCU, and in nailing the balance between new and old, Marvel would be wise to renew the former assassin's presence on the big screen - if not for that, then to make up for her diabolical treatment in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
