7. The Slide Show

Arguably the most effectively creepy sequence in the entire movie sees the kids looking at a map of Derry on a projector in Bill's garage, where they figure out that Pennywise lives in the Neibolt house.

The projector then begins running on its own, flicking through family images of Georgie, before Bill and Georgie's mother eerily transforms into Pennywise and stares intensely at the kids.

They all start freaking out and the projector is eventually knocked over, but moments later Pennywise re-appears and continues to creep them the hell out.

Eventually, Pennywise pops out of the screen and begins chasing after the kids, but they manage to escape by opening up the garage door. It's a bracingly intense sequence and is basically the start of the movie's rollercoaster ride of a second half. A classic scene that won't soon be forgotten, basically.
