While Bill Skarsgard may be the star of the show, the protagonists of It also shine, with the so called "Losers Club" charming audiences with humor, love, and bravery. These characters, ranging from "the new kid" to a poor boy looking for his lost brother, shine in the film because of the excellent acting backing them up. Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Jack Dylan Grazer, and more proved their worth as rising stars in Hollywood.

Interestingly, Skarsgard and the child actors were separated for much of the filming process, allowing both sides to shoot their own scenes before finally meeting.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Skarsgard spoke on his own fear of traumatizing the young actors when first shooting with them, describing a scene:

"I approached him (Jack Dylan Grazer) and I scream in his face and we're doing this scene and he's crying and gagging and doing this whole thing, and I'm like in the back of my head as we're shooting it, like oh my god I'm traumatizing this child. Like, what am I doing you know!? And then they yell, you know, cut! And I go, 'Are you okay Jack?' and he goes, 'Love what you're doing! Love what you're doing with the character!'"

As evidenced by Grazer's reaction, Skarsgard's fears did not come true, with the professionalism of the young cast proving greatly beneficial to the shooting of the film and its success.
