Jurassic World: 5 Original Characters Who Must Return (And How)

1. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore)

Jurassic Park Sarah Harding The Lost World Julianne Moore Julianne Moore may have had better acting roles since, but I always found her performance as Sarah Harding to be one of her most engaging. Intelligent and resourceful, she perfectly captured that wonder Hammond had in the first film when Malcolm caught up with her, studying a family of stegosaurus on the second island. She was a great protagonist. She had a vested interest in the island and its inhabitants (mostly to do with their preservation). She was a genuine love interest without being too sappy, too. She cared about the other characters and what happened to them (Poor Toby Ziegler... I mean Eddie Carr). And most importantly, she was afraid to be genuine scared when the situation got out of control and she became the best thing on the menu. While I'm quite happy to think of Sarah and Malcolm living happily ever after (and I know nothing will convince him to set foot on those islands again), I think it's a shame she didn't have a role to play in Jurassic Park III. Perhaps if the story had had a bigger scale, than Sarah would have had a part in the story. Oddly, the third film is the most simple, not the big closing number we all expect from the "last" film in a trilogy. How She Might Return... An expert in her field and someone who experienced dinosaurs first hand, the current visionaries of the new park on Isla Nublar would be foolish not to engage Sarah to work with the dinosaurs. Perhaps against Malcolm's wishes (if they're still together), Sarah has decided to take on employment in the park as to to have the ability to study these prehistoric creatures first hand all over again. Fulfilling her dream position, but unafraid to learn from her experiences in the last film, Sarah might take up a role much like Muldoon did in the original. She'll makes every effort to warn the crew not to get too complacent around the dinosaurs. With their electric fences and weapons, I'm sure the people running the park will be far too confident to listen to those warnings. And then it will be too late. Enter Sarah to help save the day. And that's my list. Do you agree? Should there be more links to the past films than the rumours concerning Jurassic World suggest? Or is this the time to start with a fresh slate?
