Justice League: 10 Insane Fan Theories You Need To See

6. Batman Is Darkseid

The great thing about fan theories is that they can take the most trivial of details and use it as evidence to fuel a specific fantasy, and that's exactly what's going on here.

Reddit user fireurchin isn't being serious in the slightest (we hope) by speculating that Batman may actually be Darkseid based purely on the fact that both characters are quite grumpy, but it's funny to imagine that Batman's frequent mood swings could be an indication that he's set to turn to the dark side.

Okay, so maybe Batman isn't actually an evil alien, but the idea that Batman is a bad guy - at least, from a certain point of view - is one that's been brought up time and time again, ever since Batman v Superman debuted.

In that movie, Superman blames Batman for Lois Lane's death - or so it seems. "She was my world, and you took her from me". Why would Superman do that? Why would Batman even want to kill Lois?

Well, to bring this entry full circle, the answer may lie with Darkseid himself. In the comics storyline dubbed The Great Darkness Saga, Darkseid is shown to possess mind-control powers, and assumes mental control of the population of a whole planet.

What if he shows up at the end of Justice League, uses this power on Batman and makes him kill Lois Lane, thus kicking off the Injustice storyline we mentioned earlier?

Batman may actually turn out evil, but it won't necessarily be his fault.
