Justice League: 10 New Details Revealed By Director Zack Snyder

3. Superman WILL Wear The Black Suit

Heading into the release of Justice League back in 2016, one thing fans desperately wanted to see in the movie was Superman in his black suit. In the comic books, the Man of Steel dons that after returning from the dead, and it seemed a given that it would be included in any cut.

Joss Whedon seemingly didn't see things that way, and when Superman did rise from the grave (in a weird, convoluted sequence), he quickly donned the classic red and blue. Zack Snyder, however, has confirmed that the hero will don the black costume in his cut, and confirms that it won't resemble the version seen in the background of that sole deleted scene on the Blu-ray as, "that was done without me using my design, but [they] got it a big wrong."

As for why the aforementioned "Knightmare" sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice saw the Darkseid-controlled Superman back in his classic red and blue, Snyder explains that, "When he succumbs to [Anti-Life Equation], he returns to the red and blue suit." That's a statement that creates more questions than answers, though...
