Justice League: 10 Questions None Of The Trailers Have Answered

5. What Does 'Unite The Seven' Mean?

One of the earliest taglines to appear on Justice League promotional material was 'Unite the seven', a phrase that left fans confused when the full six-strong superhero line-up was revealed.

It also sparked feverish speculation. Was this a reference to Arthur Curry unifying the world's seas? Unlikely, considering non-Aquaman posters also sported the slogan.

So the logical explanation is that Justice League either includes a mystery hero, or at one point was supposed to feature seven team members before plans were scaled back early in the movie's development.

There are a number of potential candidates for hero number seven, but the frontrunner by far is Green Lantern. Not only is he a Justice League founder member with his own film on the horizon, Steppenwolf makes an obvious reference to his galactic police force in the Comic-Con trailer.

The villain's "no Lanterns" line has sparked rumours that a Corps member will show up in Justice League's final act to give the heroes some extra firepower against their Apokoliptian foe, and this just makes too much sense.
