Justice League: 10 Ways Warner Bros. Can Continue The Franchise After The Snyder Cut
6. Flashpoint Ties Up The Loose Ends
The Flash movie is set to feature time-travel as Barry Allen races back to save his mother, inadvertently creating a new world in the process. This adventure will see him cross paths with Michael Keaton's version of Batman, and it seems likely that won't be the only alternate reality the Fastest Man Alive ends up paying a visit to.
While it would be an undeniably expensive diversion, using this "Flashpoint" adaptation to tie up some loose ends could be a smart move... particularly if it helps avoid that dire alternate future coming to pass. That makes the need for a sequel null and void, and just means all those heroes went off to do their own thing after first assembling to battle Steppenwolf.
An approach like this would certainly simplify matters, though it would leave the fate of Darkseid somewhat up in the air. Thankfully, filmmaker Ava DuVernay is still developing a New Gods movie, so she can shed some light on what came next for that villain following his failed attempt to conquer Earth (even if it's just a vague reference to the events of Justice League).
