Justice League: 10 Ways Warner Bros. Can Continue The Franchise After The Snyder Cut

7. A "Knightmare" Spinoff

This is actually something that could be a TV series, comic book, or movie, but it's a little more specific than a full-blown sequel. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had its fair share of faults, but one moment everyone seemed to get on board with was the mysterious "Knightmare" sequence.

It left fans with way more questions than answers, of course, but Zack Snyder has since confirmed that this desolate future was ruled by Darkseid and Superman had fallen under the control of the villain's Anti-Life Equation. The Flash, meanwhile, must have found a way to travel back in time in a bid to warn Bruce Wayne of what was to come, and that too is pretty intriguing.

With Warner Bros. now taking an approach to storytelling which means all their big and small screen stories take place within a "DC Multiverse," a Knightmare spinoff set specifically in this timeline could perhaps be a TV show taking place from the point of view of a superhero or even a human survivor, fleshing out that world and explaining how the League ended up falling to Darkseid.
