6. Classic Hero Themes

Even though the DCEU is a cinematic enterprise unto itself, composer Danny Elfman nevertheless took the opportunity to fondly recall the good old days of two of Justice League's superheroes by recalling their classic theme tunes from decades-old movies.

Firstly, Elfman reprises his own iconic Batman theme from the 1989 Tim Burton Batman, noticeable most memorably when Batman meets up with Commissioner Gordon and is seen standing atop a stone gargoyle.

Then there's the unforgettable John Williams Superman theme, which appears during Clark's resurrection scene, albeit massively reworked to be darker and more sinister, to the point that some might not even notice it on a first viewing.

While some might find the use of classic hero themes to clash with the established soundscape of the DCEU, you can't deny how well they fit the characters.
