2. Aquaman And The Atlanteans

Yes, Aquaman is a card-carrying member of the Justice League... but that doesn't mean he has to start that way. We've heard rumblings that his cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice involves him being angry about the damage caused to the Indian Ocean by Zod's World Engine, and there's a very good chance that that anger could carry on into a Justice League film. Zack Snyder could choose to adapt the "Throne Of Atlantis" New 52 storyline, which introduced Aquaman to the rest of the Justice League by pitting him and his kingdom against them. The story involves Atlantis' war on the surface world, with Aquaman forced to choose a side.

Introducing Aquaman as an antagonist and then using another villain (such as his evil half-brother Orm a.k.a. Ocean Master) to ally him with the rest of the League would be incredibly intriguing, and could help set the DCCU apart from the Marvel Universe, while introducing audiences to the badass Aquaman that comic book fans are dying to see on the big screen.
