Justice League Review: 4 Ups & 7 Downs

3. Hit & Miss Action Sequences

Even with the rickety effects, there are absolutely some enjoyable action beats throughout the film, but for the most part they're totally all over the place, with Snyder's usual knack for memorable, eye-popping visuals feeling pretty off-the-mark here.

Individual moments are sure to please fans, but overall it's incredibly chaotic, blurry, and weirdly lacking the epic feel you'd hope for from a movie starring so many beloved superheroes.

Batman in particular feels pretty underserved by the set-pieces: there's nothing here even remotely close to the brilliance of Batman v Superman's warehouse fight, and in terms of action that really sticks in the mind, it's pretty lacking.
