7. The Cast Is Mostly Wasted
Fans of the original film were rightly excited when the all-star, A-list cast was revealed for the Golden Circle, with Kingsman's American equivalent, Statesman, being populated by a bevy of fantastic state-side talents.
What a disappointment it is, though, that they're totally wasted for the most part. The likes of Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Channing Tatum have tiny, insubstantial roles that hardly make the most of their chops, while Sophie Cookson's returning heroine Roxanne is almost entirely sidelined.
Even two acclaimed actors who appear unexpectedly in cameo form during one of the movie's weirder subplots aren't put to good use, cementing that Matthew Vaughn just didn't know what to do with such a celebrated collection of performers.
For everything else the movie gets wrong, this feels like the biggest missed opportunity, to rope in so many appealing actors and do so little with them.
