5. The Professor Lives (Again)

It is in no way confirmed at this stage, but it seems painfully obvious that Professor X isn't making it out of Logan alive. He's got a Dead Meat sign hanging over him that even Hawkeye would cringe at.

But what if he goes full Lazarus again and defies death for a second time? It's not like he hasn't got out of stickier situations before. For God's sake, the man was exploded into a million pieces at one stage...

How Likely Is it?

Surely they can't do it again, no matter how devastating it will potentially be to see the good Professor wheeling off into oblivion?

The revelation that he was actually still alive after his death in The Last Stand, without so much as a whiff of logic was a low point for the intelligence of the X-Men franchise, and unfortunately Sir Patrick Stewart's exceptional work as the character probably deserves the reward of finality.

So don't count on it.
