M. Night Shyamalan's Glass: Everything We Know So Far

2. Shyamalan Has Been Watching Classic Films To "Get Inspired"

Ever since Split opened and became a huge success, Shyamalan has been meticulously planning the followup.

And, besides all the usual pre-production tasks like storyboarding and costume designing, the director's been watching plenty of classic movies in the hopes of inspiring the production of Glass.

These movies include Pulp Fiction, Tarantino's 1994 crime-comedy, and Don't Look Now, the Donald Sutherland-starring thriller from 1973.

Both these movies couldn't be more different if they tried, with one leaning heavily on comedy and the other playing it straight, so it's hard to say exactly what Shyamalan gleaned from the two.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
