11. Thor Leaves The Hulk On Sakaar - Thor: Ragnarok

The Prediction

We're pretty much all assuming that the end of Thor: Ragnarok sees both Hulk and Thor freed from their gladiatorial servitude to The Grandmaster on Sakaar, despite them being forced to fight one another. More likely is the suggestion that Hulk actually sacrifices his freedom to allow Thor to go free to deal with Hela's destructive rule over Asgard, which would suggest why he appears to fight Thor in the Ragnarok trailer.

So, he might not be back in time for the start of the Avengers' last stand against Thanos in Infinity War as assumed.

The Implications

This could do one of two ways: either we could see Hulk then "rescued" in Infinity War to join the fight or Hulk could miss the fight entirely, setting up a World War Hulk storyline for Phase 4 as something triggers his hatred of the Avengers (possibly something like the death of Betty Ross during Thanos' attacks?)

That would be a great way to announce Hulk back into the fold, and it would be the most creative way to possibly use him as a stand-alone character (though inevitably he'd be facing multiple Avengers when he rampages back to Earth).
