7. Mobius M. Mobius

Before the release of Loki, the idea of Owen Wilson starring in an MCU property was an odd but intriguing prospect that eventually came to pass in the first season of Loki. Taking on the role of TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius, Wilson brought a somewhat more tempered version of his idiosyncratic persona to the role and this worked beautifully.

Mobius' laidback and inquisitive demeanour is a far cry from the TVA’s more stern and ruthless sensibilities, and this made him a perfect fit for a newly-imprisoned Loki. Wilson’s chemistry with Tom Hiddleston was palpable, and their conversations made for both humourous and thought-provoking content.

His love for jetskis was a surprising yet effective means of further humanizing him (and cluing audiences in as to the true nature of TVA agents). The revelation of the TVA’s more sinister nature gave Mobius (and Wilson by extension) a chance to explore his identity and purpose and ultimately go up against the organization he so dutifully served once before.

Despite his persona being reset following He Who Remains’ death, a new version of Mobius under Kang’s control still sounds like an interesting proposition in the lead-up to the second season of Loki.
