MCU: 10 Big Implications Of Adding The Fantastic Four

8. Doctor Doom As An MCU Big Bad

As far as Earth-based villains go, Doctor Doom is one of the most formidable, enduring and indeed beloved characters in Marvel comic books. To date, however, he has been absolutely butchered when it comes to his live action movie depictions. Julian McMahon's Doom in the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four movies was nothing more than a whining pretty boy, while Toby Kebbell's version in the 2015 reboot was an absolute abomination and it's about time a version that is at least somewhat faithful to the classic comic book Doom is made a reality - something that would be possible if Marvel Studios acquired the rights to the Fantastic Four and their supporting characters. Doom isn't just about science and technology, he's also extremely well-versed when it comes to magic - and now that Doctor Strange's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe heralds the arrival of magic, MCU Doom could have that same well-rounded power and skill-set that his comic book counterpart has. The character would be every bit worthy of succeeding Thanos as the new big-bad of the franchise.
