MCU: 10 Fascinating Facts About Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Well, Spider-Woman, if you want to get technical.

Because the Cindy Moon of comic canon is actually in theory the second ever Spider-Man, being bit by the same spider that was responsible for Peter's superpowers in his origin story. She’s perhaps better known by her superhero alias, Silk, which is coincidentally the most badass name of any of the many various Spider-People.

You may have noticed her unusual regular name within Homecoming, as within the film it belongs to one of Peter’s fellow decathlon team members. However, it’s unclear if she also possesses sweet secret spidey powers – particularly as in comics Silk shot webs from her hands, which would clash with the manmade web shooters Peter uses in the film.

While there’s a good chance this was just an affectionate reference, any chance of Cindy being introduced to potentially gain spider-powers in a future film is endlessly exciting.
