MCU: 10 Fascinating Facts Behind Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
4. Mark Ruffalo's Insane Run Of Form
This is not limited to Thor: Ragnarok's release, but Mark Ruffalo's involvement in this project (and indeed in Infinity War and Endgame beyond it) proved that he was on a fairly unstoppable run of financial and critical acclaim.
There hasn't been a film since 2012's Thanks For Sharing with his name on the cast that hasn't either been a box office blockbuster or a contender for a major award.
After Thanks For Sharing, his run began with The Avengers and then took in Now You See Me (5 times its budget at the box office), Begin Again (Oscar Nominee), Iron Man 3 (billion dollar movie), Infinitely Polar Bear (Golden Globe Acting Nominee), Foxcatcher (Oscar Acting Nominee), The Normal Heart (Golden Globe Acting Nominee), Avengers: Age of Ultron (billion dollar movie), Spotlight (Oscar Acting Nominee), Now You See Me 2 (almost 5 times its budget) and then Ragnarok.
Considering what else he's done in his career, that's insanely impressive.
