MCU: 10 Greatest Iron Man Moments
3. Iron Man Vs Captain America And Bucky - Captain America: Civil War
In Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers shares the main storyline with Tony Stark and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). It's mostly remembered for its airport battle sequence, where the warring sides face off with each other for the first time, and for being the film that breaks up the Avengers almost beyond repair, but its emotional high comes in the final act.
Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) has lured Cap, Tony and Bucky to a Hydra base in Siberia, where Tony is dealt a shocking truth: Bucky, brainwashed by Hydra, killed his parents, an event from which the hero has never truly recovered.
This revelation, mixed with the fact that Cap knew about it already, leads him to suit up and try to kill Bucky for his actions. The following fight is arguably the best in the franchise, and is certainly the one with the most emotion. Tony manages to blow off Bucky's metal arm, and very nearly takes Cap out before he loses his advantage.
The direction, the acting - everything is on point, and it gives fans yet another level to Tony's complex character whilst setting up the next, Avenger-less era of the MCU.
