MCU: 12 Burning Questions We Have After Comic-Con

1. Where Are Deadpool & The Mutants?

The most popular word among fans of the MCU in recent weeks has been ‘mutant’. The revelation that Kamala Khan is in fact a mutant rather than an Inhuman in the franchise has sent fans spinning, and foaming at the mouth for more.

It seemed that Comic Con would have been the perfect place to capitalize on this excitement and give at least some news about when we can expect to see mutants, more specifically the X-Men finally join the franchise, but alas, anyone expecting this was ultimately disappointed.

The rights to the X-Men characters have been back with Marvel Studios for some time now, but outside of a short cameo in the Multiverse of Madness from Patrick Stewart, we are no closer to seeing any sort of movie on the horizon. Arguably a more realistic expectation would have been some sort of news about Deadpool 3, but even this alluded us.

Wade Wilson is confirmed to have a third movie to be set within the walls of the MCU, and he has even shared the screen with a Marvel Studios character when he reacted to a Free Guy trailer with Korg. Would these announcements have been too big and taken some shine off the likes of Wakanda Forever, and Avengers 5 & 6? Or is it just that Kevin Feige and co. simply aren’t far enough along in the development of anything mutant-related to give fans anything yet?
