MCU: Every Phase 3 Main Villain Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Thanos
Within the first five minutes of Infinity War, Thanos destroyed half of the Asgardian population, beat the hell out of the Hulk and Thor, and killed Heimdall and Loki. Devastating audiences, Thanos showed immediately that he meant business, already in possession of the power stone, and soon obtaining the space stone.
The Mad Titan was not all power, however. He backed this up with substance, intelligence, and meaning. As with Killmonger, Thanos was doing what he felt right, and this for the benefit of the universe. This was a burden, but he was willing to pay the price for the sake of everyone else. Sacrificing the daughter he loved so that half the universe's population may prosper and flourish, and welcoming being beheaded as his destiny.
Thanos is different from every other villain on this list in that he has appeared in more than one movie. Even before Infinity War, he had made cameos in The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Age of Ultron. It is no coincidence that the character that has been developed over multiple movies is the best.
Possibly the strongest argument for Thanos as the greatest villain in Phase Three, and the MCU as a whole, is the fact that he won 14,000,604 times out of 14,000,605. No one can top that.
