MCU: Every Single Marvel Movie Post-Credits Scene (And What They Mean)
21. Captain America: The Winter Soldier: The Museum
The Scene
Having escaped the helicarrier crash with his life and some of his sanity restored, Bucky Barnes visits the Smithsonian museum with an exhibition on Captain America and the Howling Commandoes.
He sees a picture of himself in his former life and seems to recognise himself as the music blares ominously.
What It Meant
This might not have had too many ramifications for Age Of Ultron, but the revelation that Bucky Barnes still has something of himself locked inside The Winter Soldier programming would come into play heavily in Civil War.
This was a tease towards Bucky's arc becoming the most important story-line of Phase 3 aside from Thanos' attempt to get his hands on the Infinity Stones, and a big hint that Bucky might return to a more heroic role sooner or later.
