MCU X-Men: 10 Comic Book Storylines Marvel Must Adapt

8. Mutant Massacre

If Thor makes it out of Avengers: Endgame alive, and if Marvel Studios intends on integrating him in to other branches of the MCU, then Mutant Massacre would be the perfect place for him to appear.

Although Thor does have a hand to play in this story, it is very much an X-Men story that feels pivotal to the team. The Marauders serve as the main villains in this storyline, a perfect opportunity to include the likes of Mister Sinister in the MCU, and the X-Men are desperately trying to stave off the genocide of Morlocks, a subterranean race of mutants.

When the X-Men and X-Factor arrive, fighting on two separate battlefields, both teams suffer grave injuries, most notably Angel, who is crucified by harpoons impaling his wings - an injury that would later lead to their amputation.

With Thor's help, they manage to fight off the Marauders, however Sabretooth sneaks back to the X Mansion and destroys Cerebro. This could also climax the film with an ocean-based battle between Wolverine and Sabretooth.
