1. And No Mushu (Yet)

As with General Shang, Mushu has seemingly also been cut from the film although perhaps this is a little more obvious as to why - a talking dragon doesn't seem to fit in the world of this new realistic take on Mulan.

It would be nice to have a nod to the character in the film and there most certainly could be according to rumours but for now, all we have to go on is the teaser trailer. If audiences want their fix of Mushu, they will have to watch 1998's animated Mulan.

Interestingly, Jun Yu has been cast as the voice of Cricket, Mulan's other animal sidekick. Cricket's vocalisations suggest he will continue to play a fairly prominent role in the film. Bearing this in mind, perhaps there is hope for a surprise appearance from Mushu.
