It is surely only a matter of time before Christopher Nolan makes a James Bond film. What matters now is that the opportunity is right for the highly-regarded director.

Right now, it's unclear what Nolan will do next after his stunning work on Dunkirk, but it seems likely that it's going to be something as epic as his previous projects. Something like a Bond film would actually be a bit of a break for him in that respect and it must surely have some appeal. It just might be a little more likely that he'd prefer to tackle a Bond at the start of his tenure, rather than the end.

If there's even a tiny chance that he'd say yes, he's the man the studio should be approaching immediately for this gig. Because his name would be the kind of quality assurance you pay ANY price for.
