Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Trailer Reactions: 6 Ups & 2 Downs
3. It's Ridiculously Stylish
Quentin Tarantino always has a recognisable style, but with the setting of this one there's something about it that makes it look even more stylish, fitting to his identity, and, well, just incredibly cool.
Tarantino did, of course, make his name with a pair of movies that raised the bar as far as cinematic cool goes, and this feels much more of a piece with that than most of his more recent movies.
From the music to the dress sense to something a little more intangible, this looks like the kind of swaggering, stylish, sleekly made movie that only he can deliver. We can get the sense that it's not going to take itself too seriously, with some goofiness from DiCaprio in particular, but that adds to its own innate sense of cool.
