6. Click (Best Makeup)
Whatever happened to Adam Sandler? In the late 90s he created a series of well constructed, touching films that were both critically and commercially successful such as The Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and arguably Big Daddy aswell as appearing in more dramatic roles, most notably the Paul Thomas Anderson film Punch Drunk Love. Since however he has been on a steady decline and while click is nowhere near as bad as Jack & Jill, candidate for the worst film of all time, Click is of a pretty poor standard that rarely induces any form of laugh. The film did however receive its solitary Academy Award nomination for Best Makeup, the aging of Sandlers character throughout the film could be seen as a reason. The film wasnt critically successful and did typical Sandler business at the box office and can definitely be seen as the turning point for audience viewership saying enough is enough. Clearly he hasnt listened.
