Oscars 2018: 16 WTF Moments

11. Kobe Bryant Now Has More Oscars Than All These Actors

Kobe Bryant winning an Oscar for writing and narrating his own animated short, Dear Basketball, was weird enough when you consider that it was the worst of the five nominated shorts, rousing suspicions that he either bought the Oscar win outright, or more likely, lazy voters just voted for the short with the famous basketball player in without watching any of them.

It didn't take long for lists to be published noting all the celebrated actors Bryant now has one more Oscar than, including: Amy Adams, Glenn Close, Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Ed Harris, Samuel L. Jackson, John Malkovich, Edward Norton, Joaquin Phoenix, Michelle Williams, and so on.

It's all the more shifty considering the sexual assault allegations that still linger over Bryant's head. Apparently Hollywood doesn't care that much, and would rather give Kobe an Oscar than five-time nominee Amy Adams. Hmmm.
