Oscars 2022: All 20 Actors Who Could Get Their First Oscar Nomination

Joe Wright's upcoming musical romantic-drama is based on the legendary 1897 Edmond Rostand play Cyrano de Bergerac, and will see Peter Dinklage reprise the title role that he previously played in Erica Schmidt's 2018 stage musical from which this film is adapted.

Reviews for the film as a whole have been broadly positive, though even those more lukewarm on Cyrano have tripped over themselves to praise Dinklage to the heavens, lauding his comedic and dramatic chops which, as anyone who's ever seen him act knows, were never in doubt.

Dinklage has four Emmys to his name for his work on Game of Thrones, and if enough industry support rallies around him, he could very well end up with his first Best Actor nomination this Oscar season.
