8. Justice League - June 23, 2017
Word on the street is that Zack Snyder will direct Batman V Superman and Justice League back-to-back, which is one of the big reasons BVS was delayed from its summer 2015 release date to early 2016. Batman V Superman and Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio has already been tapped to pen the Justice League script, meaning that Warner Bros. hopes to get the ball rolling on their super-sized team-up ASAP. Justice League is too big a film to hit theatres anywhere but during the summer blockbuster season. That along with the fact that it's hitting production soon means that it will likely hit theaters on June 23, 2017. That gives Snyder enough time after Batman V Superman to prep, film, and complete Justice League, and allows the rest of the DC solo films - that have yet to get scripts, directors, and cast members - time in development. Despite getting cameos in Batman V Superman, we know that Justice League will be the launching point for most of the DC characters, so getting them introduced early on in the franchise and set-up for their future solo instalments just makes the most sense.
