11. Cloverfield Awakens - God Particle

Even though it hits cinemas in just two months, little is known about the upcoming sci-fi horror God Particle, beyond the fact that it's the third movie in the Cloverfield franchise.

Paramount is clearly playing their cards close to the chest, just as they did so brilliantly with 10 Cloverfield Lane, so while there probably won't be more than a mysterious trailer before the film comes out, it's still possible to make an educated guess about how things will end up.

It's known that the plot revolves around an international space station that comes into contact with a space shuttle containing, presumably, an alien creature.

As soon as it was announced that the third Clover movie was going to take place in space, fans began to speculate that it would be a secret prequel to the other two movies, by showing the circumstances which caused the original film's monster to awaken in the first place.

Cloverfield's ending shows an object falling out of the sky, which many believe to be a satellite that woke the monster up, so what if the end of God Particle recreates this moment from another perspective, with a satellite or shuttle falling to Earth, kickstarting the events for the rest of the series? It makes a lot of sense.
