Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For 2016's Biggest Remaining Movies
11. Deepwater Horion (71%)
Critical Consensus: "Another successful collaboration between Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg, Deepwater Horizon is both a thrilling disaster film and riveting human drama."
It's fair to say that director Peter Berg's (Battleship, Lone Survivor) critical reception is incredibly mixed on the whole, but with an all-star cast (also including John Malkovich and Kurt Russell) not to mention a monstrous $150 million budget, he's certainly got all the tools necessary to make a cracking disaster flick.
The real-world nature of the story should only make it resonate deeper with audiences, and if Berg can avoid making sentimental drivel out of the central family plot, then this could be highly entertaining, serious-minded big-budget storytelling.
