Prey: 8 Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed
4. Feral's Reveal
2018's The Predator tried to reinvent the franchise with alien invasions and new additions to the lore. Unfortunately, its attempt at blending action with comedy led to some portions of the fandom accusing the film to be even worse than Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem - which is no easy feat!
Prey, however, manages to pay tribute to several previous entries in the series, and the fourth installment in the franchise is no exception.
This Easter egg is during the Predator's duel with the bear, which serves as the otherworldly creature's reveal. The invisible Feral lifts the dead animal and, as it bleeds, the crimson blood bathes the Predator and makes his visage known to Naru. The reveal is very similar to the 2018 film during Quinn McKenna and his team's ill-fated mission.
In his first encounter with the Fugitive Predator, Quinn knocks the Yautja out with its own projectile device, which cuts the hanging corpse of McKenna's ally in half. This causes blood to pour all over the unconscious and invisible Fugitive, which like Feral in the new film, allows him to be visible.
Not a bad way of acknowledging one of the most controversial entries in the series.
