Ranking 2015's Summer Blockbuster Films From Worst To Best

12. Jurassic World

Jurassic World may have fallen somewhat short of the colossal expectations, but it's still an entertaining action flick and easily the second-best movie in the wildly inconsistent Jurassic Park franchise. Yes, the plot is relatively generic, the kid characters are annoying, the romance is totally needless, there's rampant product placement, the CGI is all over the place and there's all that high heels controversy to sift through, but when it comes down to dinosaurs terrorising humans and beating the crap out of each other, does the film work? Absolutely. Fans are right to expect more from Chris Pratt and co., but the film does a solid job proving that JP is still a relevant franchise, and sets a solid enough foundation for a sequel that has the potential to be so, so much better...as long as Jake Johnson's Jurassic Park fanboy is back in a more expanded role, of course.
