Ranking All The Major SDCC 2016 Movie Trailers From Worst To Best
2. Suicide Squad
DC brought their A-game to Comic-Con, yet oddly enough their best sneak came from the already much-hyped movie that's out in just a couple of weeks (and incidentally had the company's best teaser from last year); Justice League may have had jokes and Wonder Woman looked cool, but Suicide Squad still reigns supreme with its bizarre tonal mash-up of neon-tinged comedy and sadistic violence, this time scored to originally written music (from Heathen and Skrillex).
This one's a long-y but a good-y, giving us more of what we've come to expect from one of the best trailer campaigns in recent years. It's easy to forget in all the excitement about reveals for long off projects that sometimes the films we're most excited for are just around the corner.
There's a risk at this point that the incredibly protracted marketing (the First Look hit over a year before the movie) could mean we've had major elements of the film spoiled, although this one still managed to keep major details to a minimum in place of selling the visual aspect (there's not actually all that much new footage, which acts as a reminder of how important good trailer editing is).
