Ranking August 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best

11. In Order Of Disappearance

Suicide Squad Nine Lives Kubo And The Two Strings
Paradox Film

RottenTomatoes Score: 87% (6.9/10)

Box Office: Though it's grossed over $800k from international markets, its limited U.S. release (mostly on VOD) almost certainly won't be enough to push this one into profitabiity, especially with an approximate $5 million budget.

Verdict: Stellan SkarsgÄrd continues to prove how thoroughly under-utilised he is in English-speaking fare, giving one of his strongest performances to date as a father looking to avenge the suspicious death of his son.

The oppressively bleak Norwegian landscapes combine with some cutting gallows humour and an easy-to-root-for protagonist to make this a rock-solid thriller that's just begging to get the English-language remake treatment sometime down the line. See it now before Hollywood butchers it.
