Ranking Every Billion Dollar Movie - From Worst To Best

6. Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3
Pixar

Box Office: $1,066,969,703

If there's one negative thing about Pixar releasing Toy Story 4, it's that it slightly takes away from how perfectly Toy Story 3 closes out the story of Woody, Buzz and Andy.

The trilogy is all about the anxiety of growing up, told from a different perspective, with the shadow of mortality looming large over it, and despite how funny and entertaining the film is, it deftly navigates those weightier issues in the same grown-up way that Inside Out does. It shows incredible maturity on Pixar's part as a story-telling machine and takes already iconic characters to new, frightening places that simply reaffirm how much we love them.

That's no small feat for any second sequel, and while Toy Story 2 might well be a little better, Toy Story 3 is the more rounded story, and the ending is just beautiful. Let's hope Bonnie looks after those toys properly.
