Ranking Every Live-Action Catwoman From Worst To Best
3. Camren Bicondova - Gotham
Say what you will about Gotham, but one character that show has gotten absolutely right is Selina Kyle.
In contrast to Anne Hathaway's Catwoman, who never got a proper origin story, Camren Bicondova's Selina Kyle not only shows us her backstory and formative years as Catwoman at length, but also provides a genuinely fresh take on that time in her life. We see her at a point where she's not really just Selina anymore, but also not quite Catwoman just yet and her story is paced pretty well in terms bridging that gap.
We see the various hardships she had to survive, her cutting her teeth as a thief on the streets of Gotham, as well as how she came to get mixed up with the city's various lowlifes and crime bosses. All the while, her personality is pretty spot-on and while the acting isn't always necessarily great, Bicondova still does do a fairly good job and manages to turn in a solid performance more often than not.
Finally, what makes her stand above icons like Eartha Kitt and Lee Meriwether as a TV Catwoman is simply the sheer amount of time she's been given to grow as Selina Kyle and develop the character.
