Ranking January 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

15. Wild Card

RottenTomatoes Score: 17% (4.5 out of 10) from a small number of early reviews Box Office: Lionsgate clearly don't have much faith in the movie scoring at the cinema and have released it on VOD the very same day, in a rather desperate bid to reclaim the $30 million budget. The movie is out today, but most box office prognosticators haven't even bothered predicting its gross. Go figure. The few critics who even bothered to watch the movie have decreed that, despite being adapted from a William Goldman novel (by Goldman himself), Wild Card will satisfy neither fans of hard-boiled thrillers nor those who enjoy watching Jason Statham kick someone in the face. While there was some measured praise for the movie's divergence from a generic action thriller set-up, many felt that the lack of action combined with a lethargic plot to make this one of The Stath's least intriguing vehicles to date.
